Latvia Work Permit Details

Do you want to work in Latvia officially? first of all, you are required to get the EMPLOYMENT VISA ( D TYPE) through the nearest consulate of Latvia in your country. This type of visa is granted based on the Work invitation Invitation approved by the Office of Citizenship and Migration affair the Republic of Latvia (OCMA). The company willing to hire foreign citizens submits an employment application to the OCMA for Invitation registration.

Immigration UA provides an official work permit in Latvia, which allows you to obtain a work visa “D” type, “D” visa can be issued for a period not exceeding one year. Allowing you to stay in other Schengen member states for up to 90 days within 180 days, you need to apply at the Latvia Embassy in your home/neighboring country.

Required Documents to Apply for a Job in Latvia:

  • Scan copy of valid Passport
  • Complete Resume/CV with Living Address
  • Scan copy of High School diploma ( if any )
  • First Installment as per the agreement

Required Documents For Apply For Visa ”D”

  • Passport with a period of validity extending at least three months after the intended date of departure from Latvia
  • Long stay visa e-application form printed and signed by the applicant.
  • One photo (Size 35mm x 45 mm) must be taken during visa submission
  • Invitation approved by the OCMA
  • Employment agreement A copy of the signed employment agreement has to be submitted along with the documents
  • A copy of proof of your intended residence in Latvia has to be submitted along with the documents.
  • Proof of previous employment + ITRs
  • Proof of the previous education Originals presented and copies of your prior education diplomas and mark sheets have to be submitted.
  • Ticket reservation
  • Travel insurance is to be valid for the whole Schengen area and covers the entire period of the intended visit (90 days). The minimum coverage of 42,600 EUR
  • Hello Verify confirmation slip – for applicants from India only
  • Visa fee of 60 EUR

How To Apply For Latvia Work Permit?

After we received the required documents above, the Employer reviewed the documents and if needed an interview will be made via Skype video. Once we received the payment, we will submit the documents to the appointed Attorney. The process of obtaining a Visa Issuance Letter (Work Permit) is between 10 and 15 working days. After the Visa Issuance Letter is issued, we will send it to you by Courier. And you shall submit the application for the Visa at the Latvia Embassy in your country. The embassy will issue you a “one year “Visa Type D / single or multiple entries, and it’s renewable furthermore each year.
